    @airshowfansh oh wow, i know right? the last time i was in PHL was a few years ago to fly into houston and i don’t know what they thought, but the wanted to strip search my sister. it was ridiculous, she was only 12 and i was 6. i’m still afraid of that airport. since then i’ve flown out of avoca in scranton. but JUST MY LUCK, i’ll be back at PHL in 3 days to go back down to houston=p i’m afraid of what they’re gonna do. hah

    @Tori2120 If he’s talking about the TSA, they are BAD. I never have problems with the TSA at other locations but at PHL… holy god… the trouble I go through with my camera equipment when I fly commercially… and they damn near broke the camera I shot this with back in 2009 – I spoke up and ALMOST got arrested because I said something. Way to handle people’s property…

    But as far as spotting is concerned, so long as you don’t do anything stupid, you’re fine…

  14. Skippy585 says:

    Did you happen to see any Fokker 100’s?

  15. buffey says:

    @berga570 You’re right, it does. Neat effect.

  16. Skippy585 says:

    @berga570

    If you read “Airways mag” there was an issue of a guy who took a picture of the rotating prop from an Dash 8 and all you see is 3 flying UFO’s in the pic. Of course the camera could not keep up with the speed of the prop. I bet George Noory would love to put a pic of that on his website.

  17. jrd1461 says:

    PHL use to have a live webcam, now it’s just ATC.

  18. fsC130J says:

    @Skippy585 1:45

  19. Skippy585 says:

    @fsC130J cool what time was that?

  20. Skippy585 says:

    @criminalgboro

    I don’t know about 150 knots. Thats the take off speed for a loaded 747. 150 knts =170 MPH.

    I was thinking at least 120 if not 117 knts.

  21. fsC130J says:

    @Skippy585 yep Gulfstream 5

  22. criminalgboro says:

    @Skippy585 Probably around 145-150 knots

  23. Skippy585 says:

    @fsC130J

    Gulf Stream 5?

    Well so far I’m within 14:00 of watching and actrually did see a GS 2. If not a Falcon CJ.

  24. Skippy585 says:

    What the typical landing speed for a B737 NG?

  25. Skippy585 says:

    Dude flying the Delta 737 was coming in a bit fast.
